PARALLAX
GNSS denial and deception training, without radiating a thing.
GNSS-Denied Navigation Training for Modern Military Operations
Prepare personnel to operate confidently in GPS-jammed, spoofed and degraded navigation environments, before they meet them in the field.

When GPS fails, training matters.
Jamming is everywhere now. GPS jamming and spoofing are a routine part of modern conflict, and the interference regularly spills into civil airspace and shipping lanes. Every platform that relies on GNSS is exposed: vehicles, vessels, aircraft and uncrewed systems.
You can’t train against it live. Jamming GPS over a training area affects everyone in range, including civil aviation, and needs approvals that are rarely given.
Be ready when GPS goes dark.
Realistic GNSS-denied training with PARALLAX
How PARALLAX works
- Live signal
GNSS Antenna
Receives real satellite signals
- Live + injected

PARALLAX
Injects controlled jamming inline, combining with the live satellite signal
GNSS Receiver
Receives the degraded or denied signal

Inline jamming
Works with any GNSS receiver on any platform, with no integration or modification. No radiated emissions, so no air traffic control notification or regulatory paperwork.

Spoofing capable
Generates spoofing signals on-device or replays IQ files, so forces train against deception as well as denial.

Dual waveform
Two independent jamming waveforms at once, each set for frequency, power and waveform type, on any GNSS channel and constellation.

Exercise-wide management
Run all units in an exercise from one laptop through a dedicated UI. Change scenarios, step back/forwards and override waveform, frequency and power per unit on the fly.
Scenario Builder
- 01
Place jammers
Lay down virtual jammers anywhere on the map.
- 02
Set power and waveform
Configure each jammer's power and waveform, on any GNSS channel.
- 03
Every unit knows where it is
Each PARALLAX calculates what every jammer would do to its receiver, so GNSS degrades steadily as a platform closes in.
- 04
Real terrain, real propagation
Accurate RF propagation modelling uses terrain elevation data, from our sources or yours.
- 05
Schedule the exercise
Set when each jammer is active, then step back and forwards through the timeline.
Train beyond theory
Move from classroom understanding to practical experience
Prepare for contested environments
Expose crews to navigation challenges before deployment
Build operational confidence
Allow personnel to develop decision-making under realistic conditions
Deliver repeatable scenarios
Run consistent exercises that support progression and assessment

Frequently asked questions
What is GNSS-denied training?
Training crews to navigate and operate when GPS and other satellite navigation signals are jammed, spoofed or degraded. Parallax lets you run it on real platforms, with real receivers, during normal exercises.
How does Parallax simulate GPS jamming without transmitting?
It connects by cable between the GNSS antenna and the receiver and injects jamming directly into the receiver input. The live satellite signal still passes through, so the receiver sees a realistic mix. Nothing is radiated.
Can Parallax simulate GPS spoofing as well as jamming?
Yes. It can degrade, jam and spoof. Spoofing signals are generated on the device or replayed from IQ files.
How is Parallax different from a GNSS simulator?
A lab GNSS simulator replaces the sky with synthetic signals. Parallax keeps the real sky and adds RF-modelled jamming based on each unit's live position, so effects build and fade as platforms move around the training area.
Which receivers and platforms does it work with?
Any GNSS receiver with an external antenna connection, on any platform: land vehicles, vessels, aircraft and uncrewed systems. No integration or modification is needed.
Which frequencies and constellations are covered?
1100 to 1700 MHz, with two independent jamming channels of up to 30 MHz each, covering any GNSS constellation.
Do we need approval to use it?
No radiated emissions means no air traffic control notification or spectrum paperwork for training. Parallax is export controlled (UK Military List ML11.b) and is supplied only to government, defence and approved end-users.
How do I arrange a demonstration?
Use the form below. We demonstrate at our facility, at your site, or at upcoming defence shows.
