Client challenge
Testing active RF capabilities in real-world scenarios is both time-consuming and logistically complex, particularly due to security and legislative restrictions. Our client sought to bring realism to RF-shielded environments to test operational capabilities and commissioned Force Effect to conduct an options study.
Our approach
We facilitated a workshop with stakeholders to explore solutions, focusing on re-using technology from the test and measurement industry and incorporating simple analog RF solutions. Our goal was to design multi-layered solutions that could be quickly adopted across a range of projects and use-cases, considering operational constraints such as security, size, weight, and power (SWaP).
Implementation
Our team presented a comprehensive paper outlining a range of potential “additive” options. These options could be combined to incrementally enhance realism in new or existing shielded enclosures, tailored to specific use cases.
